Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company's network infrastructure and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in security, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, VMware, MS SQL Server, and helpdesk operations. This role also involves resource procurement, end-user computer setup and support, and thorough documentation of IT processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect company data and systems from unauthorized access, breaches, and other security threats. This includes regular security assessments, vulnerability management, and the implementation of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
· Active Directory & Azure Management: Administer and manage Microsoft Active Directory and Azure services, including user and group management, group policies, and security settings. This involves maintaining directory services, managing cloud resources, and ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
· VMware Administration: Manage and maintain virtualized environments using VMware. This includes deploying and configuring virtual machines, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring high availability and performance of virtual infrastructure.
· Helpdesk Support: Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for end-users, utilizing ManageEngine (preferred) or other helpdesk tools to resolve technical issues efficiently. This involves handling complex support requests, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and providing excellent customer service.
· Resource Procurement: Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary hardware and software resources. This includes evaluating products, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of IT assets.
· End-User Support: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot end-user computers, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly. Provide ongoing support and training to end-users to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.
· Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. This ensures that IT processes are well-documented, standardized, and easily accessible for future reference.
· Windows Server Management: Administer and manage MS Windows Server environments, ensuring stability, security, and optimal performance. This includes configuring server roles, managing updates, and troubleshooting server-related issues.
· Backup Solutions: Manage Veeam Enterprise Backup solutions to ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with backup policies. This involves configuring backup jobs, monitoring backup operations, and performing regular restore tests.
· Remote Monitoring & Management: Monitor network and system performance using remote monitoring tools to ensure optimal operation and timely identification of issues. This includes setting up alerts, analyzing performance data, and implementing corrective actions.
· Networking: Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs. This involves configuring network devices, optimizing network performance, and ensuring reliable connectivity.
· MS SQL Server: Manage and maintain MS SQL Server databases. This includes database installation, configuration, performance tuning, and ensuring data security and availability.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration, including:
· Security
· Microsoft Active Directory and Azure
· VMware administration
· Helpdesk operations (ManageEngine preferred)
· Resource procurement
· End-user computer setup and troubleshooting
· Documentation
· Windows Server management
· Veeam Enterprise Backup or similar backup solution
· Remote monitoring and management

· Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and best practices
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:
