Job Description: IT Systems Administrator
Overview-
IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our IT infrastructure, primarily based on Microsoft Windows and Azure environments. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and supporting the company's overall productivity and growth. IT Systems Administrator duties include monitoring system performance, conducting regular system backups, and ensuring the security of IT infrastructure. They are also responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities-
System Management
· Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and related software and hardware components.
· Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows-based services.
· Oversee system performance, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
Azure Administration
· Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components.
· Monitor and optimize Azure performance and cost management.
· Implement and manage Azure backups, security, and disaster recovery solutions.
Network Management
· Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
· Ensure network security through the implementation of firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
· Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
User and Support Desk
· Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
· Oversee the Helpdesk operations, ensuring timely and effective response to user inquiries and issues.
· Track and document Helpdesk tickets, ensuring proper resolution and follow-up.
· Develop and maintain an internal knowledge base for common issues and resolutions.
· Conduct training sessions and create documentation to help users understand and utilize IT systems effectively.
· Analyze Helpdesk data to identify trends and recommend improvements to IT services.
Security and Compliance
· Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably in a medium-sized company environment.
Technical Skill
· Experience managing Microsoft 365, including user administration, security configurations, and collaboration tools.
· Experience with Azure administration and related services.
· Proficiency in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
· Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V or VMware.
· Understanding of security principles and best practices.

Work Environment
This position typically operates in a professional office environment. The role requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Occasionally, the IT Systems Administrator may need to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Physician Requirement
· Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
· Occasional standing, bending, and lifting of equipment.
Ability to travel to remote offices or data centers when necessary.
