About The Role
Location: Burlington, MA - Hybrid [3 days in office]
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior System Administrator to join our IT team at Pentera. In this role, you will manage and support our IT systems, including on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing directory and SSO platforms, overseeing on-premises test environments, supporting end-users, and administering various SaaS applications used by Pentera employees for daily tasks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support critical IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, laptops, and more.
- Manage and support users, ensuring they have necessary access to systems and resolving any technical issues.
- Install, configure, and test on-premises components and systems.
- Provide administration and support for SaaS applications used across the organization.
- Assist in integrating new technologies and managing ongoing IT projects.
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory to ensure all resources are properly accounted for.
- Help to ensure system security and reliability by applying updates, patches, and troubleshooting issues.
Requirements:
- Up to 6 months of experience in IT, system administration, or help desk support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with both Windows and macOS workstations.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., FortiGate, SSL VPN, IPsec VPN).
- Familiarity with Linux OS.
- Basic knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or similar).
- Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) and directory solutions (e.g., G-Suite).
- Basic experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.
- Familiarity with Active Directory is a plus.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or PowerShell is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Experience:
- Basic experience in SaaS application administration.
- Exposure to IT integration projects or technology deployments.
- Previous work with IT asset tracking and inventory management.
