Data Architect - Leading P&C Insurance Company (Fully Remote)
About the Opportunity:
We are partnering with a leading Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance company that is seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to join their growing team. This fully remote opportunity will allow you to leverage your expertise in designing and implementing scalable, efficient data architectures, while working with cutting-edge technologies on the AWS tech stack. You will play a key role in shaping the company’s data strategy to drive operational efficiency and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Architecture Design:
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures that support business intelligence and analytics solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models, including logical, physical, and conceptual models, for large and complex datasets.
- Work with business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into robust architecture solutions.
Cloud Data Solutions:
- Architect and implement cloud-based data solutions leveraging the AWS tech stack, ensuring scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Utilize AWS services such as S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue, Lambda, Athena, and Kinesis to build robust data pipelines.
Data Integration and Governance:
- Develop strategies for data integration from multiple sources, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and security.
- Implement data governance policies and standards for data quality, privacy, and compliance with industry regulations.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and IT to deliver integrated data solutions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, driving best practices in data architecture and cloud technologies.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect with a strong background in data modeling, cloud technologies, and data integration.
- Proven expertise in AWS technologies such as S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue, Lambda, Athena, and Kinesis.
- Experience working in the P&C insurance industry is a plus but not required.
Skills:
- Expertise in designing and implementing cloud-native data architectures and solutions.
- Proficiency with AWS Big Data and Analytics tools (e.g., Redshift, Glue, Kinesis, Athena, etc.).
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and data lake architecture.
- Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Big Data) are a plus.
