Essential tasks:
- Install, configure, secure, and troubleshoot network switches, virtual/physical servers, client workstations, and network-attached storage equipment.
- Manage Windows and Linux servers on-premises, ensuring software updates, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Utilize Ansible or PowerShell for automation and system management tasks.
- Perform tasks involving Active Directory, group policy, WSUS, and advanced Windows OS management, including imaging and deployment.
- Install and maintain virtual machines using VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanix technologies.
- Administer Linux systems like RedHat, CentOS, and Debian, ensuring reliability and security.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and regular system audits.
- Design and test data backup and recovery solutions for high availability and integrity.
- Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and ensure proper LAN/WAN connectivity, including VLANs, IP subnetting, and trunking.
- Oversee DNS and DHCP services, particularly on platforms like Infoblox.
Qualifications:
- Five to eight years of professional IT infrastructure experience, including Systems, Network, and Security Administration.
- Proven expertise in managing databases, web applications, and business applications.
- Experience working with multi-location businesses and centralizing technical operations.
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience with a focus on continuous learning.
- IT certifications in network and systems administration (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) are a plus, with CCNA preferred.
