Job Description
The Security Control Center Watch Commander serves as the focal point for on duty personnel and coordinates on duty contractor-provided guard operations
A. Duties:
1. Assigned to the security control center and assists the Guard Force Commander
2. Supervises the monitoring of all security systems and coordinates all emergencies, alarm responses, unusual situations, and ensures written reports are prepared.
3. Submit oral and written reports to supervisory personnel as required.
4. Make notifications to DFP, DS or DOS personnel.
5. Coordinating and directing appropriate field security personnel responses to security incidents.
6. Ensures that all guard personnel are aware of and abide by all Post and general orders.
7. Working with limited supervision and making decisions based on sound logic and judgment.
8. Other Duties as required by the COR.
B. Qualifications:
1. Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a military officer or non-commissioned officer (NCO) (at US E-6 or above or equivalent), or equivalent law enforcement/armed commercial guard force supervisory experience or;
2. Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with six (6) years of successful civilian or military equivalent law enforcement experience with four (4) years that must have been in a supervisory position or;
3. Possess an Associate Degree with ten (10) years of successful civilian or military law enforcement experience which six (6) years that must have been in a supervisory position or;
4. Successfully completed twenty (20) years of civilian or military equivalent law enforcement; ten (10) of which were in a supervisory position.
5. Qualify with the pistol and M4, re-qualifying as required by SOW
6. Complete the DS Physical Readiness Test at the 50% performance level, and maintain that fitness level for the duration of his/her service on the contract
Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, state, provincial, local, or commercial entities providing armed protective services that require skills similar to those identified in the guard training courses.
