Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000 annually depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Asset Protection Unit (APU) operating under our parent company 6 Degrees Health, seeks an IT professional to join our team as the Windows System Administrator. APU is growing exponentially, and we look for engaged, enthusiastic, and excited folks to join our leadership team.
The Windows System Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining our on-premises and virtualized server environments. This role includes the support of approximately 100 Windows desktops and laptops, along with around two dozen Windows servers managed through Hyper-V. You will also play a key role in managing Office 365 and ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and optimized.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Window System Administrator role, additionally, will focus on identifying and implementing tools and technological solutions that drive improved business results, either increasing revenue, decreasing expense, or reducing risk. Compensation will be driven in large part by measuring these results.
Essential Functions
- Administer, support, and maintain Windows-based desktops, laptops, and server infrastructure.
- Manage and monitor Hyper-V virtualized environments.
- Provide support for Office 365, including user management, access control, and troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows platforms.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other essential services.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect systems from unauthorized access or data breaches.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations, backup procedures, and access permissions.
- Provide user support and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Qualifications
Certifications:
- Microsoft, CompTIA, or other relevant Windows or networking certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+).
Preferred Skills
- Experience with PowerShell scripting or automation tools.
- Knowledge of network configuration and security best practices.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of proven experience managing Windows desktop and server environments.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms, specifically Hyper-V.
- Hands-on remote support experience with MAC OS / Microsoft Windows (or other similar technologies)
- Expertise with Device Management Solutions
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Work Authorization

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position requires work time outside of normal hours.

Occasional travel may be required.
