Role Overview
As a systems and network security engineer, the Gigamon Engineer will be responsible for the enterprise deployment and management of the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline and GigaVUE Fabric Manager. This role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of Gigamon solutions to enhance network observability, improve enterprise security posture, and protect networks from malicious payloads. The position requires troubleshooting and resolving complex challenges using Gigamon technologies and supporting large-scale network monitoring efforts.
Primary Duties
- Architect and design IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and system outages.
- Design and implement DoD enclaves, including compute storage, networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and end-user devices.
- Deploy Gigamon Appliances and network taps, such as GigaVUE HC-3, GigaVUE T-10 packet broker solutions, and GigaVUE HD series.
- Manage infrastructure and cyber security controls to enhance detection, vulnerability capabilities, and event correlation in large enterprises.
- Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
- Leverage big data analytics and traditional security events to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.
- Research new technologies and market trends to develop and refine security solutions.
- Mentor and lead teams in complex troubleshooting and security problem-solving.
