Kustom US is seeking an IT Systems Technician to add to our growing team in the new year. This role will participate as a member of the IT Team with the primary focus of the position being to implement, secure, and support enterprise networking solutions. These duties are accomplished while delivering customer service to both corporate and remote customers.
What you will do:
- Network Environment Design: Develop and establish robust networking environments by designing system configurations, overseeing system installations, and defining, documenting, and enforcing security standards to ensure optimal performance.
- Performance Optimization: Maximize network performance by continuously monitoring system performance, troubleshooting network issues and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with the network team on optimization strategies.
- Technology Configuration: Configure and support various network technologies, including switches, routers, wireless systems, and voice technologies, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Network Security Management: Secure the network system by establishing and enforcing access policies, defining user permissions, and monitoring compliance to protect organizational data and resources.
- Endpoint Management Expertise: Leverage experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) to manage devices, deploy applications, and ensure compliance across the organization.
- Networking Knowledge: Apply knowledge of networking concepts, including routers, firewalls, DNS, and domain management, to maintain and enhance network integrity and security.
- Video Surveillance Systems: Assist with enterprise video security surveillance systems by configuring and optimizing the network for enhanced video performance and reliability.
- Network Monitoring and Analysis: Maintain network performance through diligent monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of network-related issues to ensure consistent uptime.
- Network Upgrades and Enhancements: Collaborate with vendors to upgrade networks by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing necessary enhancements to improve overall functionality.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and best practices by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and engaging with professional organizations.
- Help Desk Support: Assist with handling assigned Help Desk tickets via phone, email, and online systems, logging calls, detailing responses, and providing effective solutions to users.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Information Technology, contributing to team goals and organizational success.

What you will bring:
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- A minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency, with experience in writing scripts preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure to manage and optimize cloud-based networking solutions effectively.
- 3-5 years of experience configuring UniFi and FortiNet network hardware.
- In-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN systems for designing and installing internal and external networks.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Office Suite, and Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience working with Data Warehouse solutions.
- Proficiency with SQL, preferably in Snowflake.
- Solid understanding of network concepts (e.g., DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITF+, Network+, Server+) are a plus.
