Herd is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer in support of the MyEducation (MyEd) program for NETC.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Experience in software design, development, configuration management, product development lifecycle, product backlog development, and refinement.
- Produce work in cloud technologies, migration strategies, and systems integration.
- Work closely with the team and stakeholders to design and implement integration and test solutions, and should be comfortable leading a team with the technical decision making process.
- Work in an Agile environment and will have experience working in a cloud environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Ten (10) or more years of experience working with Java
- At least five (5) years of full stack software development (client and server side)
- Proven background working in software integration
- Willingness to work with legacy systems and to port them over to newer technologies
- Ability to document software designs, which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, software module descriptions
- General Experience with systems/network architecture
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including team management
- Experience with product development lifecycle and track management principles
- Experience with data layer optimization and transformation
- Familiarity with JIRA for requirements tracking and use case development
- Experience with AWS for CI/CD and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with DevOps / DevSecOps
- Experience with relational databases (preferably Oracle)
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must be a US citizen
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred
- Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA) certification preferred
- Familiarity with Serena for requirements management preferred
Security Clearance:
- Candidates must possess, or be eligible to receive, U.S. DoD Secret-level Security Clearance
Travel:
- 100% remote with no travel expectations.
