Join the State Attorney's Office, First Judicial Circuit and be part of a dynamic team. We have four counties in the First Judicial Circuit – Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton. We are looking to hire an IT Systems Administrator II in Pensacola, FL (Escambia). This is a full-time position – Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
IT System Administrators will be responsible for performing a variety of Information Technology tasks. Duties involve maintaining the functions of the computer room/cloud environment, computer room/cloud maintenance, computer equipment, operations, and programming as well as user support.
To successfully perform the duties of this position, candidates must have knowledge of the major operating characteristics of a wide area network, local area network, computer equipment, data communications and support software with emphasis on the assigned data communications and networking areas of responsibility. Additionally, knowledge is required to plan for coexistence and interoperability, accessing systems technology, system and applications interfaces for associated systems and data communications networks, servers, LANs, system network software and related utilities, and layered products of multiple vendors. Comprehensive and professional knowledge of cloud computing, IT equipment, data-communications, networking software and support functions are needed.
Candidates should have the ability to test and diagnose equipment, applications, programming techniques along with understanding data communications and networking services to diagnose failures. Knowledge of the current state of data communications, networking technology and theory in the assigned technical support field and related IT to perform studies and evaluate changes, analysis, and design techniques to implement data communications and networking service and modifications, IT standards, security, and system software. Candidates should have the understanding of how the IT/network services acquisition and planning processes function, and possess a highly comprehensive, professional knowledge of IT equipment, data communications, networking software and support functions.
To successfully perform the duties of this position, candidates must have a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, office experience, keyboarding skills and work well in a team environment. Candidates must be highly motivated, extremely organized, and be able to handle confidential matters with the utmost discretion. We are looking for self-starters who accept challenges, work well under pressure, and require minimal supervision after training.
Minimum Training and Experience Required:
Graduation from a two-year college, trade school or certifications with data processing related course work, one (1) year of technical office automation and computer related experience.
Experience as required above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required training
