Information Systems Solutions - San Diego, CA
Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a candidate to provide MAC OS X and Linux System Administration on the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) network supporting a US Government Customer. The selected candidate will work as a System Administrator for the Cyber Science and Technology Division at the Naval Information Warfare Center. This candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the MAC OS X systems used by the Cyber S&T team for their day to day operations. The Cyber S&T team has roughly 50 MAC OS X systems and a small number of Linux systems requiring support. This candidate will require scripting experience to assist in the batch updating of these systems as well as an in-depth knowledge of MAC OS X in order to implement the applicable STIGs.
Specific job duties include:
- Experience managing Active Directory
- Experience hardening MAC OS X to DISA standards, application of STIGs
- Performing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Experience administering Linux desktop systems

- GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
- Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
- System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
and the following:
- LPIC-2 Advanced Level Linux Professional
- LPIC-3 Senior Level Linux Professional
- RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer
- RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
- RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist
Required Skills
- 2-3 Years of Mac OS X systems administration
- 1-2 years’ experience with Linux desktop systems
- Experience with BASH or Python scripting
Desired Skills
- Knowledge and experience with AWS
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
- Experience with the IAVM process
