Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Technician to join our team in San Diego. This role will involve working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing expert support for network infrastructure, servers, and end-user systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in computer networks, IT solutions, and working within a VAR (Value Added Reseller) setting. This position offers significant career growth potential while supporting a collaborative, technology-driven team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and install advanced network routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Deploy, optimize, and maintain Windows-based workstations and servers, including MS Exchange server.
- Provide expert-level support for LAN-based applications and VoIP systems.
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Ensure all systems and configurations are thoroughly documented, including policies, procedures, and system setups.
- Manage and maintain Windows servers (Active Directory, Group Policies) and Windows 10/11 workstations.
- Implement, manage, and troubleshoot various remote connection solutions and backup systems.
- Collaborate with the sales team to assist with RFP/Bid responses, hardware/software configurations, and scope estimations.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in computer networks and IT solutions, with a focus on VAR environments.
- Proficiency in supporting network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Strong experience in supporting and working with sales teams for technical RFP responses and scope estimations.
- Mandatory certification in Cisco CCNA or CCNP; additional certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, Ruckus, Fortinet, Intel, Citrix, VMware, or other top-tier vendors are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with VoIP systems and LAN-based applications.
- Strong knowledge of network security practices and firewall management.
- Experience with remote connection and backup solutions.
