Status: TEMP/SEASONAL
Fleet Technician: Pedaler + Driver
Reports to: Field Operations Manager
Location: Eugene, OR
Wage: $16-19.00/hour
Hours: ~32 hrs/week
BACKGROUND
Cascadia Mobility is the nonprofit operator of Eugene’s shared micromobility program, PeaceHealth Rides. We also furnish bicycle event services, like bicycle valet and group rides. We are growing our team as our scope broadens.
ELIGIBILITY & AVAILABILITY
All applicants must be 25+ and possess a driver’s license and a clean driving record. If you do not meet these requirements, we invite you to apply for other roles in our org.
Temporary/Seasonal positions available from April 15 - June 30, with a possible extension in the late summer/early fall.
Seasonal shifts are 11 am - 7 pm, Thursday - Sunday. We can also accommodate half-shifts (~2:30 pm - 7 pm).
Applicants must be available 2-4 regularly-scheduled days, for 16-32 regularly-scheduled hours. This must include at least one weekend day. Additional hours available as coverage for callouts and with crossover to our Valet and Events team.
Ideally, new hires would be available for three AM shifts (7 am - 3:30 pm) in their first week, to train with senior team members.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Fleet Technician team is nimble and tight-knit. You’ll first use web-based map and data tools to make a list of rentable vehicles that need attention. Based on your list, you’ll build a route and select one of our fleet vehicles—van, e-trike, and e-bike—to complete your route.
Though no formal experience is required, mechanical aptitude, wayfinding, and computer literacy are strongly preferred. Our training program will cumulatively and comprehensively build your skill and confidence in mechanical service, hardware, and software.
Cascadia Mobility is a growing, dynamic organization; successful candidates will be team players with personal initiative and a positive attitude.
A NOTE ON COVID-19
All team members are required to comply with federal, state, and local guidelines for preventing the spread of respiratory disease. This includes wearing masks when appropriate, frequent handwashing, and maintaining up-to-date vaccination.
