Position Summary
The Jr. Systems Administrator position is responsible for providing third level support for all IT support requests, including hardware and software troubleshooting as well as recording, tracking and following up on the status of each IT support ticket. This position will also be on a 24x7 OnCall rotation schedule and will participate in visiting remote offices on a scheduled basis.
The Jr. Systems Administrator position will handle confidential information, as well as creating and keeping various department/operations reports/records. The Jr. Administrator will provide both on-site, remote, and over-the-phone support.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide third level helpdesk/desktop support, maintaining a high degree of customer service.
2. Review all escalated IT support tickets, track their process, and update all relevant information real-time including resolutions that are descriptive for future reference, and provide descriptive resolutions for future reference.
3. Maintain department SLA’s for all IT tickets, including response time and resolution time.
4. Take ownership and is proactive when dealing with user issues.
5. Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
6. Troubleshoot advanced Smartphone issues.
7. Provide technical support for special projects and initiatives.
8. Provide remote IT support, including over the phone and traveling to remote offices for escalated issues.
9. Troubleshoot escalated printers and copiers issues.
10. Assists with meeting setups in conference rooms as needed.
11. Assist with software/hardware upgrades.
12. Maintains and updates IT documentation, including inventory, knowledgebase, etc.
13. Manages all user accounts including 3rd party applications.
14. Participates in on call rotation schedule with the Sysops team.
15. Participates in remote office visits as needed.
16. Manage Office 365 licenses and mailbox creation.
17. Manage group membership (through Active Directory).
18. Manage access card control system (OpenPath).
19. Administer mobile management (AirWatch).
20. Update and maintain 3rd party applications on our deployment server. (PDQ)
21. Handle Okta application creation and assignments.
22. Manage and maintain the internal and external IT knowledgebase.
23. Update and maintain imaging server with all needed OS images.
24. Provide training to helpdesk technicians on a continuous basis to help reduce the amount of escalation.
25. Identify common and repetitive issues and create knowledge articles that are easy for staff to follow.
26. Implements hotfixes, patches, and updates as necessary.
27. Research new technologies and/or processes necessary to improve IT support and efficiencies.
28. Reviews, tests, analyzes, and enhances efficiency, stability and scalability of peripheral equipment and resources.
29. Assist the manager of IT Operation in Managing, administering, , and maintaining ITSM for various departments .
30. Test and deploy endpoint OS Updates.
31. Continuously monitor deployed software and ensure software is upgraded and up to date after performing compatibility tests.
32. Performs daily administration of backup software (Veam) to ensure data is stored and secured in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
33. Manages and maintains all corporate servers running AD, DNS, DHCP with little or no supervision.
34. Configures, manages, monitors, maintains and troubleshoots corporate servers running Windows server operating systems.
35. Analyzes system logs and identifies potential issues with computer systems.
36. Performs patch management to the corporate environment, including all servers and clients. Performs Office 365 administration, including Exchange, Teams and SharePoint Online.
37. Completes Powershell scripting to automate processes, including AD and Exchange.
38. Provides support to all applications related with AD, including Okta single sign on, Mimecast, AirWatch and helpdesk software.
39. Troubleshoots and maintains group policies for corporate environment
40. Configures and maintains antivirus software using SentinelOne.
41. Provide basic Telecom troubleshooting.
Other Responsibilities
1. Cross train with team members to serve as overflow and/or absentee backup.
2. Identify hardware and software standards for company use. Determine “best practice” policies for the standards.
3. Identify appropriate software to run performance analysis. Work with team members to set processes based on analysis.
4. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with OneLegacy policies and procedures, safety guidelines, and regulations as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations, and other applicable federal, state and local laws.
5. Perform quality control practices as defined by the policies and procedures.
6. Work with existing software and/or identify new software/technologies to run various reports to improve efficiencies and identify trends. (i.e. AD audits, security audits, performance reports, etc.).
7. Support the organization’s Standards of Professional Conduct as outlined in the OneLegacy policies and procedures, and the mission, vision and values.
8. Assist team members working various technical projects acting as a project manager, ensuring the project gets completed in a timely manner.
9. Perform advanced IT troubleshooting (i.e. WAN connectivity, server outages, etc.), with little supervision, exercising confidentiality, independent discretion and judgment.
10. Maintain confidentiality of all information, including information related to all donors, clients, vendors, processors, physicians, ME/Coroner offices, and OneLegacy data for all departments and at all levels.
11. Accept deliveries, alert recipients, and/or route the deliveries to the appropriate person/area.
12. Initiate calls for all department equipment repairs and/or service call; including but not limited to office photocopiers, postage meter machines and other equipment as necessary.
13. Display a consistent, professional degree of communication skills in person, on the phone, by e-mail, and letters to internal and external communications.
14. Attend annual hazard communication and control safety training sessions for Cal-OSHA, contract processors, and all other training programs as required or determined by the management of IT.
15. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:
1. Minimum 5 years experience as a helpdesk technician supporting Windows operating systems
2. CompTia A+ certification or equivalent experience is preferred
3. Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification or equivalent experience – preferred
4. Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate – preferred
5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft based desktop environment, including Windows 10\11 and Microsoft office
6. Solid understanding of backup processes and systems
7. Understanding of change management processes and procedures
8. Knowledge of virtual infrastructure including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks and storage
9. Ability to diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues
10. Experience in knowledge base management

Physical Environment/Working Conditions:
Location: Primarily Corporate office, however, will be required travel to Bakersfield, Redlands, Orange, and other facilities as needed.
Travel: The Jr. Systems Administrator is occasionally required to travel by personal auto or by air to meeting sites and other locations.
Work Hours: Performs a forty-hour workweek as determined by assigned shift, and overtime hours as required. Assigned days and/or shift can be changed according to staffing needs. Must be available evenings, holidays, and weekends as required. Required to be in a OnCall rotation schedule to provide IT Support to the organization.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree (BS) in related field from an accredited four-year college or university required.
Experience: At least four (5) years related experience required and /or training or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Skills: Proficient knowledge in Windows 10/11, MS Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced hardware and software troubleshooting.
Require minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
Certification A+ and Microsoft Certifications (MCTS – current version of Windows Desktop OS and Microsoft Office) preferred.

Requirement: Employee must be able to pass a local government agency (coroner’s office) background check.
