General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate need for an Information Assurance Professional in our Scottsdale, AZ location.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong use and understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories
Strong understanding of cyber security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs and other government security specifications and guidelines
Strong knowledge of cyber security technology and trends
Contributes to the achievement of business objectives
Recognizes and incorporates various security designs and lessons learned
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Able to sell concepts and ideas
Effective in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions as they affect the cyber design and implementation
Strong ability in reporting relevant cyber systems engineering design
Regular contact with senior levels of security work groups
Ability to lead security work groups
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications
Must have a DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Lead efforts to conduct frequent vulnerability and compliance assessments on various operating systems, hardware, and applications in various environments
Lead efforts to categorize vulnerabilities and document recommendations
Produce and maintain the program’s Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) to include vulnerabilities and compliance findings
Create, maintain and exercise the vulnerability scanning processes
Champion security perspective for decisions related to assessing and planning actions for vulnerabilities
Actively participate in an agile team to organize, prioritize, and status work efforts
Support development and test teams to remediate vulnerabilities as part of patching process
Verify vulnerabilities are addressed in patched systems
Participate in efforts to improve the program wide vulnerability management program
Lead continuous process improvement efforts – such as CI/CD, DevOps – to automate vulnerability management efforts
Frequent communication with program stakeholders including product owners, developers, lab personnel, and Systems Security Engineering team members
Distinguishing features include, but are not limited to the following:
Active cybersecurity certifications such as ISC2 CISSP
Strong Linux and PitBull systems administration experience
Strong experience using vulnerability scanning tools, communicating vulnerabilities and documenting plans of action
Familiar with DISA STIGs, including nomenclature and tooling
Hands-on experience with DoD security tools – ACAS / Nessus, HBSS / EPO, SCC, etc.
Experience with test management frameworks (e.g. Ansible, Zephyr)
Target salary range: USD $142,601.00/Yr. - USD $158,198.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
