Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team running a network of over 200 sites globally. The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, access points, and other network devices.
- Evaluate and recommend innovative technologies, tools, and techniques to improve network performance, reliability, and security.
- Perform network capacity planning and scalability assessments to support business growth and evolving requirements.
- Configure and troubleshoot network protocols such as TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, Wi-Fi, and SDWAN.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions with other IT systems and applications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies and outages as needed.
- Performs maintenance of file servers and network devices including the restoration of hardware and software.
- Anticipates and mitigates potential attacks through network or other connections to ensure the security of the system.
- Works with end users and vendors to resolve network hardware and software issues.
- May develop and administer end-user training to achieve efficient utilization of LAN/WAN.
- Reviews progress and evaluates results.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.

Job Specifications:
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, routing, and switching.
- Hands-on experience with network hardware and software from vendors such as Cisco, Meraki, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, etc.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles, with a focus on designing and supporting complex network infrastructure.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud networking platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and technologies.
- Experience with network automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Team player that works well in a multi-cultural global organization,
- Day-to-day experience with Operational Technology (OT).
Supervisory/Responsibility:
This role has no direct reports.

This is an in-office position
Position Type:
This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular workweek will require extended days and hours as needed to meet business needs.
Travel:
25% travel is expected and up to 50% on rare occasions.
