Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking an Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer for our IT Department in our Atlanta office. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients. The IAM Engineer will report to the Director of Information Security. While this is a remote position, the candidate may be occasionally required to be on-site. The IAM Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the firm’s IAM systems and solutions. This role is critical in ensuring secure and efficient access to the firm’s resources while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Design, or enhance existing, IAM solutions and processes, including user provisioning, authentication, authorization, and directory services.
- Review, enhance, and maintain conditional access policies and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements to support IAM solutions and access controls.
- Monitor and manage IAM systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of IAM systems to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IAM-related issues.
- Stay current with the latest IAM technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Assist in the development and delivery of IAM training and awareness programs for employees.
- Develop and maintain documentation for IAM processes, procedures, and systems.
- Participate in incident response activities related to IAM.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IAM or a related field.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with IAM tools and technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, MFA, and identity governance solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IAM, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM certifications are a plus.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Understanding of Zero Trust security models.
This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off. The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position in Atlanta only is $117,700 to $176,000 annually.
