I have a 100% REMOTE opportunity for a Sr. Next.js/Rails Software Engineer to join an organization in Dallas that's been a shining example of excellence in customer satisfaction, winning numerous awards along the way. Your Role:
• Lead front-end development using Next.js while contributing to back-end development with Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with the Lead Rails Developer, Rails Developers, UI/UX Designer, QA Automation Developer, and DevOps Engineer to modernize the company's e-commerce platform.
• Work on cross-functional projects that bridge technology and marketing, enhancing the customer experience across the company’s high-traffic e-commerce platform, which processes over $200M in annual sales.
• Help implement agile best practices as the team aims to improve the structure and efficiency of their development processes.
• Play a crucial role in elevating the company's tech stack, contributing to a shift away from legacy systems and driving innovation.
What You’ll Need:
• Proficiency in Next.js — This is a key focus for the role and will be your bread and butter.
• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails — While this is a full-stack role, the focus will lean heavier on the front end.
• Hands-on experience with Git for version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Cloud experience, ideally with AWS, to support the company's migration to cloud-based infrastructure.
• The "nice-to-haves" (but not dealbreakers): ElasticSearch, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
• A collaborative, can-do attitude. The team’s culture is fun, witty, and driven—they love tech but refuse to let it consume their lives.
