Senior Architect
Location: Onsite in Dallas, TX

Experience Level: 12+ years in software architecture, 5+ years in payments and ISO messaging
Job Summary:
As a Senior Architect, you will design scalable, secure, and compliant architectures that enable real-time ISO payment systems and innovative digital banking solutions. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to create end-to-end solutions that integrate seamlessly with internal and external partners, ensuring future-readiness and alignment with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and design solutions for ISO-based payment systems (SWIFT, FedNow, TCH) and value-added digital products (virtual accounts, e-wallets).
- Develop high-level architectural blueprints, solution diagrams, and reference implementations aligned with the bank’s strategic roadmap.
- Guide engineering teams on best practices for microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native deployments on AWS.
- Ensure all solutions adhere to compliance, security, performance, and resiliency standards.
- Evaluate and select technology stacks, tools, and integration strategies that optimize cost, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with InfoSec teams to implement robust authentication/authorization, encryption, and monitoring strategies.
- Mentor engineering teams, setting architectural standards and providing thought leadership on emerging payments technologies.
Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of ISO 20022 messaging, global payment rails, and next-gen digital wallet frameworks.
- Proven expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, messaging protocols (MQ, Kafka), and cloud platforms (AWS).
- Strong background in security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- TOGAF or similar architectural certifications are a plus.
