About the Role
UrbanLogiq is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be building and maintaining products on top of a platform developed by UrbanLogiq.
Responsibilities:
You will work closely with product designers to implement product designs. You will collaborate with other engineers to create and execute on technical implementation plans. Additionally, you will collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to understand how underlying datasets and data science models are integrated into the product.
You will also:
- Build new products within our web-based application written in Typescript and React.
- Be the development lead for certain new features and see those features from the technical implementation planning stage to release.
- Have the opportunity to meet our end users in the public sector to see the impact of our products and hear their feedback.
- You will also have the opportunity to contribute your perspective and ideas to our product planning process.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on frontend technologies and experience in TypeScript.
- Strong communication skills, essential for working in our collaborative environment.
- A degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Passion for building solutions that handle large, diverse datasets, driving meaningful change in government operations
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 CAD per year, based on skill assessment, experience, seniority, and final classification determined by the hiring manager
