Position Summary
The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and daily operation of La Salle University’s internal and external networks. Responsibilities include all computer communication and telecommunication services including the configuration, placement and troubleshooting of all physical equipment such as routers, switches, cables and wires used to connect equipment in addition to all wireless systems. The Senior Network Administrator is a member of the Technology Infrastructure group, works closely with the Director of Systems and Network Administration, and collaborates on a daily basis with other IT members, departments, and vendors
Required Qualifications
High School diploma. 2+ years’ experience directly working with network architecture and deployment. Experience implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices Experience and solid knowledge of Ethernet, TCP /IP, SNMP , OSPF and BGP . Demonstrated experience successfully communicating with internal and external constituents and working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 3 years’ experience within the field or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. Previous experience working in higher education
