Position offers an annual salary of $159,994.00.

What You Drive at DTNA
- The Big Data IoT Software Engineer III will apply data architecture best practices/processes and work within designated guidelines. Think ahead to understand impacts to other development teams while coordinate testing efforts and validate data drift across software release changes. Drive strategic efforts related to data strategy and data management related to telematics services. Lead and mentor an agile software development team. Sprint grooming, planning, prioritization, and execution using Scaled Agile. Drive and coordinate the effort for front-end development and support the team with UX/UI technical directions. Drive and coordinate the effort for back-end development and support the team with technical directions. Drive and coordinate the effort for integration with 3rd party data platform and processors. Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures and align it with business requirements. Develop data set processes, address business issues with data sets and find hidden patterns using data. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality. Prepare data for and deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods. Use data to discover tasks that can be automated. Develop methods and metrics the provide insights to product teams and business owners. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting/analysis. Undertake cleansing, profiling, validation and aggregation of structured and unstructured data. Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns. Effectively communicate complex ideas, results to both technical and business/executive audience. Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions. Coordinate with different functional teams e.g., product development and/or engineering to implement models and monitor outcomes. Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies. Extend company’s data with third party sources of information when needed. Do ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner. Create automated anomaly detection systems and monitor its performance and data skew. Actively work with internal and external customers to analyze business data needs, gather and document business and data architecture requirements. Develop, implement and maintain data pipelines with IoT data (Vehicle Telematics). Ensure highest levels of data accessibility, security, and quality at all stages. Work within an Agile team and a dynamic, fast-moving, collaborative environment. Communicate status to all stakeholders. Keep current on latest data analytics technologies and products, including hands on evaluations and in-depth research.
Knowledge You Should Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or its equivalent, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or related position.
- Must have experience with: mentoring senior software engineers and other software architects; building and supporting end-to-end data solutions; creating ETL and ELT data pipelines; statistical analysis using SQL, KQL and Python; blending relational and time-series data sources for analysis; cloud development, deployment, and operation/support experience (Azure); software development processes (SAFe or Agile Methodology); and agile development processes and tools(Jira, Git, Jenkins).
