We (Starr & Associates) are seeking a capable and adaptable software engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience for an 8-month project starting in April. This role involves upgrading components in existing .NET framework and .NET applications, including migrations to SQL 2019 and updates to SSRS 2019. You will be working with technologies like Quartz .NET, Serilog, and MassTransit/RabbitMQ, and addressing web application vulnerabilities. This position requires participation in agile team ceremonies and proficiency with a tech stack that includes ASP.NET, Angular, Bootstrap, Entity Framework, and Azure DevOps. Ideal for someone keen on technology upgrades, application security, and Agile methodologies.

What’s in store:
· 8 Month Project, starting in April 2024
· Rate: $45.00 - $50.00 (Contractor)
· Must be located in the United States and able to work Eastern Standard Time
· 100% Remote
· 40 hours a week
· Upgrade and improve existing .NET framework and .NET applications
· Migrate databases to SQL 2019 and reports to SSRS 2019
· Implement components like Quartz .NET, Serilog, MassTransit/RabbitMQ
· Address vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing and code analysis
· Develop in Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server TSQL
· Follow technical standards and contribute to unit testing plans
· Support project team tasks and communicate any obstacles
Technical Competencies Sought:
· Proficiency in .NET and .NET Framework, ASP.NET (Webforms, MVC, WebApi)
· Skills in front-end technologies: Angular + AngularJS, Bootstrap + JQuery
· Familiar with Entity Framework, Quartz .NET
· Familiar with RabbitMQ
· Experience with SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services
· Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
· Familiar with Newtonsoft.Json
· Familiar with Progress Telerik/Kendo controls
· Good problem solving, interpersonal, communication (oral & written), work ethic, and dependable
Education & Experience Sought:
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 3-5 years of related experience
· Agile Scrum methodologies familiarity
