The Challenge:
This role offers a pivotal opportunity to develop, verify, and certify avionics software that ensures the highest level of safety in the skies. You'll leverage your deep understanding of DO-178B/C and expertise in the safety-critical software development lifecycle. Collaboration is key – you'll work hand-in-hand with diverse teams to guarantee software adheres to stringent safety and quality standards.
What You'll Do:
- Craft, review, and maintain avionics software that seamlessly aligns with DO-178B/C guidelines.
- Champion the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and meticulous documentation.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures to meticulously evaluate software functionality and performance.
- Ensure meticulous traceability – requirements seamlessly flow through design, implementation, and verification phases.
- Partner with systems, hardware engineers, and quality assurance teams to achieve project objectives flawlessly.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation for certification bodies, actively supporting certification initiatives.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the development process.
- Stay at the forefront of the industry, continuously learning about evolving standards, best practices, and cutting-edge technologies in avionics software development.
- HLR Expertise: Craft High-Level Requirements that strictly adhere to DO-178B/C standards, drawing on the Khronos OpenGL SC 2.0 specification.
- LLR Mastery: Translate HLRs into Low-Level Requirements, ensuring perfect alignment and compliance with DO-178B/C.
Who You Are:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Possess at least 3-5 years of software engineering experience, ideally focused on avionics or safety-critical systems.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of success with DO-178C.
- Proficiency in C and GLSL programming language is a must.
- Proficiency with OpenGL SC1 and SC2
- Maintain a strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Experience with configuration management tools and version control systems is essential.
- You're a problem-solving whiz with a keen eye for detail.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
