Job Description:
An Azure Infrastructure Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions using Azure VMware Solution. They work with clients to migrate on-premises VMware workloads to Azure while ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency. The consultant provides technical expertise, conducts assessments, and offers recommendations to align cloud strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and plan VMware workload migrations to Azure VMware Solution.
- Design and deploy AVS environments, integrating with Azure services.
- Optimize AVS configurations for performance, scalability, and cost.
- Implement security measures, compliance, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align AVS projects with business needs.
- Deliver training and documentation for clients' IT teams.
Requirements:
- VMware Expertise: 3+ years proficiency in VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, and related tools.
- Azure Knowledge: Familiarity with Azure services, networking, identity, and security.
- Migration Skills: Experience with workload migration strategies and tools, such as HCX.
- Networking: Understanding of hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPNs, NSX-T networking).
- Security: Knowledge of Azure security features, identity management, and compliance.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for diagnosing technical issues.
- Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to travel, overnight up to 25%
- Ability to travel independently to client sites; if by car, a valid driver's license or reliable method of transportation is required
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Certifications (Optional but Valuable): Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or Azure VMware Solution Specialty certification.
