FlexIT client is looking for an immediate Sr. Software Engineer - Java, React, Node, AWS for 12 months remote contract.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on industry software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following languages: JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++. Experience with Node.js, React, Vue, QT or equivalents is a plus.
- Experience working across N-tier architecture including RESTful services and data storage.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. Capable of building data pipelines, including algorithms and data structures
- Proven experience designing and developing on the AWS cloud infrastructure is a must. AWS components could include: CloudFormation, EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora/RDS, S3, and API Gateway.
- Involvement with creating infrastructure as code, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on implementing modern software architectural principles and patterns (test-driven development, domain-driven design, microservices, etc).
- Ability to both rapidly prototype and build robust, scalable solutions and to discern which approach is appropriate for meeting business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and business-facing.
- Demonstrated experience of working with a multidisciplinary team while also being able to work independently.
- A track record working with ambiguity and getting things done in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
- Experience with product innovation is a nice bonus.
