We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Principal Core DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic
team at HFM.
Your
Role at HFM:
·Lead and manage a team of Core
DevOps engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow their
skills and expertise.
·Develop and implement
strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of HFM’s IT systems and
applications.
·Collaborate with development
teams to design and implement reliable and high-performing systems and
processes.
·Maintain and optimise
continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to
streamline the software build, test, and deployment process.
·Monitor production systems,
identify issues, and resolve them quickly and efficiently.
·Create automation scripts and
tools to improve IT operational efficiency and reliability.
·Provide 24/7 support by
participating in an on-call rotation for production systems and applications.
·Share knowledge, tools, and
best practices across the organisation with other senior engineers.
·Offer strategic guidance and support to senior management on DevOps
trends and best practices.
Requirements
What
You Bring:
·BSc/BA in any engineering
major.
·Extensive knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) architectures.
·In-depth experience with orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and
Docker Swarm.
·Expertise in caching systems (Redis, Memcache, Varnish) and web
servers (Nginx, Apache, Traefik, Tomcat).
·Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud).
·Familiarity with web application development and CI/CD tools
(Jenkins, Rundeck, GitLab Runners, Spinnaker).
·Proficiency in Python programming.
·Strong Unix/Linux system administration skills.
·Experience with Docker and
container-based build infrastructures.
EU/EFTA citizens OR holders of a Cyprus
work permit OR foreign nationals married to an EU citizen.
