Burke Shire Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a Local Laws Officer to make a meaningful impact in one of Australia’s most remote and stunning regions.
About the Role:
In this hands-on role, you will:
• Enforce and support Burke Shire Council Local Laws and relevant State and Federal legislation.
• Deliver public education programs to enhance community safety and quality of life.
• Ensure the protection of residents, property, and employees in the community.

What We’re Looking For
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Category A Firearms Licence with experience in safe firearm use for animal management.
• Certificate IV in Pest Management (desirable).
• Strong safety focus, communication skills (verbal and written), computer literacy, and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to complete any required training for the role.
