Overview
The Storage Cloud role is integral to our organization and involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing our cloud-based storage infrastructure. The individual in this position will play a critical role in ensuring data accessibility, security, and reliability for our organization's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing cloud storage solutions to meet the organization's needs
- Managing and optimizing storage resources and capacities
- Ensuring data security and compliance with relevant regulations
- Performing regular data backups and disaster recovery testing
- Monitoring storage performance and troubleshooting issues
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with other systems
- Developing and maintaining storage-related documentation and procedures
- Assessing storage infrastructure for potential upgrades or enhancements
- Participating in evaluating and selecting storage technologies and vendors
- Providing technical expertise and support for storage-related projects
- Conducting periodic security audits and implementing necessary measures
- Training and educating end-users on storage best practices
- Participating in on-call rotation for managing storage-related incidents
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in cloud storage
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of storage processes and workflows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience with cloud-based storage platforms such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage
- Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices
- Experience in storage infrastructure design, implementation, and management
- Knowledge of storage security concepts and implementation
- Proficiency in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving for storage solutions
- Demonstrated expertise in storage capacity planning and optimization
- Familiarity with storage-related compliance requirements, such as GDPR or HIPAA
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Certifications in cloud storage platforms or related technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, etc.)
- Experience with scripting languages for automation and orchestration in storage environments
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities for evaluating storage solutions and enhancements
- Capability to adapt to evolving storage technologies and industry trends
