As the Technical Team Lead, in our Project Management and Engineering (PM&E) leisure division, you will combine your strategic leadership and technical expertise. In this role you will overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of cloud platforms while guiding a team of DevOps engineers. As well as ensuring the delivery of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure standards and solutions, promoting DevOps best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Day to day:
- Manage and lead a team of DevOps engineers, ensuring they are aligned with project goals and organisational strategies
- Drive team performance by setting clear objectives, fostering a collaborative culture, and supporting the career growth of team members
- Build and nurture a team culture that values open communication, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Act as a technical expert, contributing to the design and delivery of highquality, reliable, and performant cloud solutions
- Oversee the architecture, automation, and deployment of cloud infrastructure, ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of
platforms
- Provide hands-on guidance to engineers, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring technical excellence
- Advocate for and implement DevOps practices across teams, including continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automated testing
- Support and enable engineering teams with the necessary tools, platforms, and processes to streamline development and deployment cycles
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), ensuring consistency and scalability of infrastructure across environments.
- Oversee the design and development of cloud-based solutions, ensuring they meet customer and business needs while adhering to technical best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives and future scalability
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tools, and industry trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement
- Mentor and coach DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the team
- Lead by example in promoting agile software delivery practices, such as continuous delivery, test automation, and iterative development
- Ensure the team is continuously developing new skills, staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in cloud and DevOps engineering
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- At least 7 years relevant technical experience
- Experience in a leadership role within a Cloud and DevOps environment, managing engineers
- Experience within travel or other internet-scale environments.
- IT Operations (ITOP) Level 5
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Expertise in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code
