With Oracle Cloud Engineering, we have a highly skilled Cloud Analytics & Data Warehouse Architects and Engineers working with customers to develop modern analytics & data warehouse architectures. They enable our customers to get better insights from their Oracle Cloud Applications and other non-oracle data sources. The team will focus on Oracle Analytics Cloud, Hyperion/ Essbase, Modern Data Warehouse & Analytics for Oracle Fusion Applications (ERP & HCM) Solution including Data Integration, Data Modeling, Data Wrangling, Data Ingestion, Data Visualization and Machine Learning.
Job Description
We are seeking experienced and motivated Cloud Engineers with a strong track record of business analytics and data warehousing, to join our team providing deep technical expertise in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Essbase and Machine Learning across all industry sectors. Our Cloud Engineers work closely with Product Managers, Cloud Architects and Sales to design, build and enable repeatable solutions on OCI.
This role demands a highly technical, extremely hands-on cloud engineer who will work closely with our sales teams to develop new business, as well as, drive additional consumption of Oracle Analytics Cloud, Essbase, Modern Data Warehouse & Oracle Fusion Analytics for Warehouse Cloud users. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of the value of data and analytics, as well as, proven experience in delivering solutions to C-suite, lines of business and technical leadership. From a top down approach, the Cloud Engineer will engage with a customer to discover business problems and goals, and develop solutions using Oracle Cloud services.
The candidate has to:
- Be an expert in Oracle's analytics offerings: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Machine Learning, Hyerpion/Essbase, OBIEE, Fusion Analytics for Warehouse
- Have solution design skills to provide expertise and guide customers for specific needs
Be extremely hands on with Analytics and Data Warehousing report/solution development
- Deliver PoCs and migrate solutions tailored to customers' needs and proof points
Run and Deliver Customer Hands on Workshops
- Interact with all roles at customer, including Executives, Architects, technical staff and business representatives
Key Skills
- Primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle's analytics offerings: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Fusion Analytics for Warehouse, OBIEE, OBIA, Machine Learning and Autonomous Data warehouse(ADW)
- Must have extensive, hands on, end to end implementation experience using OAC/OBIEE Reporting tools – BI Publisher, Analysis & Dashboards
- Deep Expertise in design and development of Oracle BI Repository (RPD) solution
- Experience in configuring OBIEE / OBIA security (Authentication and Authorization – Object level and Data level security) as well as tuning and multiple source systems
- Advanced knowledge of OBIA pre-built content and deep experience with customizing/extending OBIA pre-built content of different modules
- Solid understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Data Warehouse (DW), Data Modelling concepts and SQL/PLSQL
- Good knowledge of Oracle Applications – Oracle E-business Suite or Oracle ERP, Oracle HCM (the Oracle cloud SaaS offering) is preferable
- Deep knowledge of Database, Cloud Concepts, Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW), Data Integration (ODI/GoldenGate) is an added advantage
- Basic Knowledge/awareness of Tableau/Power BI/ML Studio/Snowflake and Azure/GCP/AWS background is a plus
Responsibilities
Partners with customers, sales, engineering and product teams to design, demonstrate and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that address customer business problems. Drives Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle cloud services including discovery, design and deployment.
Responsible for participating in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement solutions. May work directly with customers to gather requirements, develop architectures and translates business needs into solutions. Implements solutions and ensures successful deployments through code development and scripting. Displays product/application understanding through more customized presentation demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events. Supports customer from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training. Creates and distributes technical assets (white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations). Serves as a technical point of contact for customers and sales on technical cloud solutions and customer success. Further builds business and technical acumen.
Minimum qualifications include: 7 years experience with computer applications and tools required. Ability to travel 25% international and domestic. Preferred but not required qualifications include: Bachelor of Science-level university degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering from accredited university; and/or relevant 5 years technical experience. Expertise in system and application design; Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Needs analysis, positioning, and business justification; Solving technical problems with customers in technical environments.
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking candidates for Data Analytics SME position within our highly ambitious Cloud Engineering CX team. The Candidate should have Industry Leading Expertise in Data Analytics. As an SME, you will play a strategic role in engaging with client Business owners, IT teams, designing cloud systems, pivoted around Data Analytics technologies.
Candidate must have 6 to 10+ years of experience of design and implementation of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence applications, of which last 1 years must be on Cloud. Candidate should have good understanding of Oracle Cloud platforms – ODI, OAC, OCI, SaaS and PaaS.
Mandatory:
- Strong experience in Oracle Data Integration (ODI). Data Integration Experience using ELT / ETL expertise using ODI 11g/12c. Must have worked on Packages, Interfaces / Mappings, Procedures, Scenarios and Load Plans, ability to invoke Web Services from ODI and must have used Databases (running in both On-Prem and Cloud environments), Files and XML as data sources.
- Strong OAC and PL/SQL skills. Experienced in Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle database writing SQL and PL/SQL code using packages, procedures and functions.
Be able to setup topologies, create mappings, packages, scenarios, load plans. Be able to synchronize data from On-Premise data sources to Cloud and vice-versa. Should be able to create and deploy ODI Packages and Scenarios across multiple environments.
Good to have:
- It is preferred that candidate be experienced on Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) using ODI as Data Integration tool, OBIEE
- Should have the ability to implement Out of the box solution and customize the OOTB solution to meet the client requirements.
- Should have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills and be able to perform root cause analysis. It is preferred that candidates be experienced on performance tuning at various layers in order to optimize the applications throughput.
- Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
