We are currently seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team in Irving, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Role Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new platform capabilities in coordination with other parts across the organization, including security, infrastructure & engineering teams
- Architect solutions which overcome the challenges of working in large scale environments with a need for high performance & resiliency
- Advise management & engineering internally on both the direction & improvement of existing platform capabilities
-Work with platform users to understand their issues & requirements, then translate them to platform wide improvements
- Recognize & reduce operational bottlenecks in existing offerings to enable us to continue to scale
- Manage multiple strategically significant workloads simultaneously
- Advising on engineering topics at both a technical & managerial level
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years Kubernetes/Openshift internals, design patterns & tooling
- 4+ years with modern platform-as-a-service operating models
- Kubernetes/Openshift deployments; particularly Networking and Storage functions
- Container Security & Vulnerability remediation
- Baremetal
- Configuration management & GitOps
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
Preferences/Nice to have:
- Openshift 4.X
- Ansible
- RHEL/CoreOS
- Tekton
- Istio-based Service Meshes
- OPA/Rego
- Prometheus/Grafana
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
