Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cloud Administrator to join our Birdseye IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining application-specific virtual machines that support our Engineering team’s needs. You will ensure the reliable operation of virtual environments and work closely with the Engineering team to meet their dynamic requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage virtual machines tailored for specific applications, media-streaming servers, message brokers and databases
- Monitor the performance and availability of virtual environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual machine configurations
- Collaborate with the Engineering team to understand their requirements and provide timely solutions
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect virtual environments
- Develop and update documentation for virtual machine configurations and procedures
- Optimize system performance and ensure scalability to meet growing demands
- Provide technical support and training to the Engineering team on the use of virtual environments
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of virtual machine configuration and management
- Familiarity with application-specific virtual environments
- Proficient in Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
