Objective of the position
The main goal is to provide Azure Cloud expertise, implementation, and operational support as a part of the central team responsible for managing AXA's cloud platforms in Latin America. This involves guiding and supporting DevOps teams "hands-on" in deploying their applications to our managed Azure Cloud environment and Kubernetes cluster. Additionally, the position includes managing and deploying our IaaS resources in Azure using Terraform, and collaborating closely with global and local security, compliance, operations, and finance teams to ensure secure and stable platform operations.
Responsabilities
- Assisting AXA insurance companies in Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil with the migration of their business applications from local datacenters to the public cloud (PaaS and IaaS). This includes activities ranging from application analysis to solution design and actual infrastructure implementation.
- Managing a complex, hybrid cloud environment that hosts thousands of applications globally, in collaboration with experts from Mexico, Europe, and the US.
- Creating platform and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, Terraform, Azure AppServices, Azure VMs, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborating on the design of application and infrastructure architectures with local and global architecture and infrastructure teams.
- Ensuring integration of cloud environments with existing monitoring and backup/DR solutions, as well as facilitating the onboarding of new cloud services and platforms.
- Organizing and conducting in-house cloud training workshops, providing consulting to development teams on cloud best practices, automation, and cost optimization.
- Collaborating with local and global security and compliance teams to guarantee secure and stable platform operations.
- Generate near-realtime reports and manage PowerBI dashboards.
- Deploying and maintaining cloud IaaS and containerized resources using Terraform, and providing support during incidents and operational issues.

Your profile:
- English (advanced)
- Spanish (advanced)
Tecnical skills :
- Several years of experience working with Microsoft Azure, particularly with Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Database & Data Analytics PaaS services.
- Experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments using Terraform.
- Proficiency in common development tools such as Git, GitHub, Sonarqube, Confluence, and Jira.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language, preferably Python.
- Application Gateways, VPN, ExpressRoute, VNETs, subnetting, firewalls, etc.
- Basic knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, or related container orchestration tools.
- Basic experience in cloud governance within an enterprise environment, including user and subscription management.
- Basic understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies and security automation (DevSecOps), ideally with some experience in PaloAlto Prisma Cloud.
