MLG Consult, a leading technology consulting firm, is seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team. As a Cloud Architect at MLG Consult, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Design cloud-based architectures and solutions, considering scalability, security, reliability, and performance requirements.
- Assess client requirements and recommend appropriate cloud platforms and services (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) to meet their needs.
- Develop cloud migration strategies, including assessing existing systems, planning and executing migration projects, and optimizing cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native applications, leveraging containerization and microservices architectures.
- Define and implement cloud security measures, including identity and access management, data encryption, and security monitoring.
- Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of cloud environments through the design and implementation of backup, disaster recovery, and failover mechanisms.
- Optimize cloud costs by implementing cost-effective solutions, monitoring resource utilization, and providing recommendations for cost optimization.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing and provide guidance on their adoption and integration.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior cloud engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or a similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and compliance standards.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex requirements and design appropriate cloud solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
