Summary Job Description
Architect with custom
application background (preferred – Java technologies with Cloud migration
experience), under minimal supervision, will work with solution and
architecture designs. Should be able to support RFPs and mentor / build a
strong technology pool for a big Insurance company.
Key Responsibilities
·A minimum of 10+ years in a professional senior
technical role such as Solution / Enterprise Architect, technical lead, technical
consultant or other hands on leadership role ideally for a major consultancy or
system integrator.
·Ability to play consultative role in client’s
technical strategy formation
·Ability to develop solution architecture
designs, analyse user requirements; predict future possibilities of system
features and functionality.
·Ability to recommend system solutions by
comparing advantages and disadvantages of market tools, frameworks, custom
development and purchase alternatives.
Job RequirementsKey Competencies
·Strong experience with Cloud (IBM Bluemix –
IaaS and Public Paas AWS), Core Java; JDBC; ANSI SQL; JMS, Spring MVC, JPA,
Junit, Mockito, Git, Subversion, Jenkins; JQuery; AngularJS
·Hands on experience in migrating applications
to Cloud
·Web architecture, design (CSS, HTML 5,
Bootstrap, JSO, Rest, SOAP, SAML)
·Analysis, data modelling (conceptual, logical
and physical design) and UML
·Middleware (Weblogic, OSB, Tomcat, service Mix)
·Database Servers (Oracle, MySQL, Mongo DB)
·TCP/IP (HTTP, FTP, IMAP, POP, SMTP, LDAP
·Estimation techniques and familiarity with different
estimation methodologies.
·Experienced in assessing a broad range of
Technical solutions and products particularly Java and .NET
·Experience of developing Services Orientated
Architectures (SOA)
·Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
methodologies such as TOGAF or equivalent
·Working knowledge of infrastructure including
servers, storage, firewalls, load balancers, routers, etc
·Excellent communication skills with ability to
explain technical concepts to developers.
·Self-starter with the ability to appropriately
prioritise and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
·Ability to work effectively under pressure in a
