Compliance Management:
- Responsible for maintaining the Bank's Complaint Program.
- Monitor and review complaints for regulatory compliance.
- Ensure internal marketing and advertising materials meet regulatory requirements.
- Assists the Compliance and CRA Officer with updating the Compliance Risk Assessment activities after testing and monitoring has concluded.
- Performs compliance testing of consumer and bank compliance controls, identifies issues, make recommendations and reports results.
- Identifies potential compliance risks and recommends resolutions and/or escalates to appropriate individuals to determine if further investigation is necessary.
- Prepares review reports for management that highlight the scope, testing approach, and the results of the review.
- Makes recommendations to management on internal control development and ensures remediation of findings is completed.
- Provides support during regulatory audits and examinations by gathering, reviewing and providing documentation to internal or external auditors.
- Reviews bank-wide projects to determine compliance risks. Makes recommendations to the Project Manager to remediate any identified compliance risks.
- Monitors regulatory activities and industry developments to identify trends and emerging issues that may impact the Bank and update changes to the compliance testing program as necessary. Prepares memorandums to inform management of regulatory changes. Recommends updates to scope, testing and process to comply with new/changing regulations.
Policy and Procedure Authoring and Administration:
- Assists in the creation, maintenance and administration of compliance policies.
- Maintains current knowledge of changing compliance regulations/requirements.
- Updates bank compliance procedures as needed.
Compliance Training:
- Generates and provides status reports of bank-wide compliance trainings for various compliance committees.
Knowlege, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of current and emerging compliance regulations and requirements specific to lending compliance
- Knowledge of risk assessment and management techniques
- Knowledge of control concepts
- Knowledge of quality control and/or audit standards
- Knowledge of lending operations regulations
- knowledge of standard bank operating procedures, polices and processes.
- Skills operating a personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn. Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. Indoor office work environment with a majority of time sitting at a desk.
Minimum Qualifications:
Combination of education and experience equal to a high school diploma or GED; and at least 2 years' experience in bank compliance, or operations.
Compensation:
The hiring range for this position is $24.75 to $42.25 per hour. The salary offered will fall within this range commensurate with the candidate's applicable experience, education, and skills.
