In this role, as the Risk Data Associate, you will be an individual contributor, working as part of the ICB Risk Data team, help analyze/build data model across all horizon for International Consumer Business (ICB) Risk– Chase UK. You will work closely with senior team members and wide range of stakeholders such as business, data providers, and support functions to understand requirements, complete feasibility study, and create data models around credit, fraud, model and loss forecasting risk needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for Amazon Redshift data warehouse.
- Must be well versed with various SQL stuffs such as views, functions, stored procedures, triggers, joins , sub queries and dynamic queries.
- Perform data analysis and optimization to ensure optimal performance and scalability of Redshift clusters.
- Utilize Amazon Athena for ad-hoc querying and analysis of data stored in Amazon S3.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with data engineers and data architects to design and implement efficient data models and ETL processes using AWS Glue.
- Utilize Jira for project management, task tracking, and agile development workflows.
- Manage code repositories and version control using Bitbucket, ensuring code quality and collaboration among team members.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions and Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, data dictionaries, and user guides.
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards and Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on SQL development and AWS services.
Required Qualification
- Master’s degree in computer Application, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6-9 years of experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer, with a focus on Amazon Redshift.
- Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database design principles.
- Experience working with AWS services such as Glue, Athena, S3, and Redshift.
- Proficiency in utilizing project management tools like Jira for agile development.
- Experience with version control systems like Bitbucket for code collaboration and management.
- Familiarity with development environments like IntelliJ IDEA or similar IDEs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge on Python, Looker and Tableau
- Advanced MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Highly self-motivated with an ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and execute to completion.
- Well versed in developing new ideas and process re-engineering
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) are a plus.
