OVERVIEW:
KPMG Jamaica has a delivery center named “Jamaica Extended Support Services (JESS)” operating from Kingston, which is contracted to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”). The Clients’ Risk Management function is expanding operations at JESS to support the RM Center of Expertise process area. Team members within the delivery center work with Client’s stakeholders under a team extension model to support Client’s back-office operations.
The Clients’ Technology Center of Expertise (CoE) is responsible for supporting the technology needs of the Personal Independence (PI) organization within KPMG’s Risk Management department, including the development and maintenance of digital assets, the design and implementation of application enhancements, and the continuous identification of improvement opportunities. They have contracted “KPMG Jamaica Expanded Support Services” (KJESS), which operates from the Kingston office, to provide back-office support to its member firm KPMG United States (“the Client”).
JOB SUMMARY:
The JESS RM Technology Business Analyst will contribute to the efforts to ensure that the use of digital assets contribute to the most efficient execution of PI operations. The role will also enable efficiency in disseminating information requiring action and provide leadership reporting and presentations. In addition, this role will be required to multitask on several assignments and prioritize according to timelines as issued by the Client.
The JESS RM Technology Senior Associate reports primarily to the JESS RMPI COE Manager but will also take direction from other Independence Client team members who are accountable for supported work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply an advanced understanding of emerging technologies and platform implementations to support the development and maintenance of system configurations and process design documentation, operating procedures, and application integration documentation. Help to ensure production implementation and maintenance activities are performed as required.
- Regularly interface and collaborate with PI organization leadership, third party vendors, and various technical teams in the firm to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Participate in design, testing, implementation, and support of all enhancements to the systems, services and technologies used by the Personal Independence team.
- Regularly interface with PI organization leadership, development groups, business liaison teams, operations staff, security group, data center staff and server administration groups on all activities related to application integration and system enhancements.
- Maintain and assess operational requirements and service issues and contribute suggestions for improvement opportunities, e.g., rule-based automation, enhanced reporting, upgraded user experience.
- Support execution of tactical plans and strategic objectives of the PI Organization through development and utilization of technology solutions.
- Assist with special projects, as needed.
- Perform multiple tasks including time sensitive requests.
- Perform other operations tasks, as needed, such as Stakeholder Invoice Management, granting access to software applications and shared drives for Independence personnel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum five years of related work experience in IT operations, technology implementations, project management, and/or technology-related consulting.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/engineering or similar. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience implementing emerging technologies across an organization, from problem identification to solution execution and change management.
- Project management experience. PMP certification preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow-belt or higher preferred.
- Knowledge of RPA software preferred (e.g., Automation Anywhere).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - SharePoint and Visio, in particular.
