About The Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Technician to be an important part of our team. This is a part-time role with an expectation that the team member will be able to work at least 20 hours a week, as directed by supervisor. The IT Technician will be responsible for assisting our CNO with ensuring all the Company’s information technology support needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. The objective of this position is to procure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems for our internal employees, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance. To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills and experience with computer operating principles and protocols, routers, switches, security, phone system operations, and configuration of laptops and printers. You will operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment and excel in hitting the Company’s objectives. To be successful you will have superior communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Understand Cityside Fiber’s core purpose and values and be passionate about what we do.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting to internal staff for Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Procure computing devices for all staff.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft 365 accounts and services.
- Manage software permissions to the Phone, Camera, and Building access.
- Manage user access and permissions within the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to computer or office equipment operation.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and compliance with company policies.
- Provide support for mobile device management (MDM) within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Coordinate with external vendors for advanced troubleshooting and support when necessary.
- Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies.
- Work in and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and integrity with fellow employees to ensure the overall success of Cityside Fiber.
Qualifications
- High energy individual who is willing to be an integral part of a high growth service provider who puts people first, dares to be different and has fun disrupting an industry.
- Associate's degree in a computer science field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- ?A+ Certification preferred
- Knowledge of Operating Systems and configuration, hardware configuration, and software installation
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Experience communicating to and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Proven history of excellent customer service and ability to build relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills- Ability to multi-task and be highly responsive to internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated intense customer focus.
- Demonstrated highest level of integrity, intellectual honesty and strong work ethic.
- Takes initiative. Plans efficiently while avoiding analysis paralysis.
- Sharp, analytical, and thoughtful.
- Consistent effort, intense commitment, and willingness to go above and beyond when needed.
- Strong team player, acts like an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
Location:
Our Headquarters and field offices are located in Irvine. [May be required to travel to other sites to fulfill job responsibilities.
Compensation
Starting at $28 an hour (actual starting rate may vary based on candidate’s qualifications, skills and years of experience). Minimum of 20 hours a week.
