Job Title: Senior Systems Administrator (OS/Network)
Project Location: Columbia, Maryland / Remote
Clearance: Final Secret Clearance (Top Secret Preferred)
IndraSoft, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator with a Full Secret – IT-1 or Top-Secret Clearance to work in the Columbia, Maryland, area (preferred). Remote work candidates will also be considered. The selected candidate will be a highly motivated individual who works well as part of multi-disciplinary Agile teams in support of both operational support, system configuration, and software development activities. Candidate must have strong analytical, troubleshooting skills. Candidate should have experience in performing a variety of routine and advanced project tasks applied to specialized systems administration activities. Tasks involve the standup, configuration, optimization, STIG checks, log audits and support of enterprise application within a sensitive network.

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of administrative experience with Windows Server and/or Redhat.
- Background implementing and supporting the administration of DoD or commercial cloud infrastructure, to include application, Tomcat, and network diagnostics.
- Experience implementing and monitoring system-level DISA STIG compliance and integration.
- Experience with Bash and PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Java upgrades, libraries, and diagnostics.
- Experience with Tomcat installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Experience using Jira, ITSM, or other trouble ticket management software.
- General technical understanding of how to deploy web application changes at the server level.
- Availability to support mission requirements after core business hours, particularly Thursday evenings.
- Some experience participating in software testing activities.
- Prior experience directing the work of other System Administrators.
- Excellent communication and customer service and support skills.
- Proven track record of positive stakeholder interaction / collaboration.
Security/Certification Requirements
- Final Secret IT-1 required; Top Secret preferred.
- Security + Certification preferred.
Qualifications Desired
- 8+ years of experience demonstrating technical depth and experience in, relevant discipline(s) and/or application(s).
- Experience with administrative tools used to monitor application servers, particularly AppDynamics.
- Experience with Oracle and/or Cassandra databases.
- Experience using vulnerability scanning software.
- Ability to read and comply with ACAS vulnerability assessment scans.
- Experience with cluster/load balancer architecture
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Responsible for directing the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization and user assistance.
- Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of business systems.
- Optimize system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.
- Provide support for incident, problem, and request management processes leveraging the ITIL service framework and best-business practices.
- Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
- Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
- Perform a variety of systems administration tasks and activities that are broad in nature including STIG checks, ACAS scan reviews, log audits, and general system maintenance.
- Manually apply patches that have been tested and approved as needed.
- Responsible for all activities related to the administration of Windows Server environments.
- Assist a development team with the installation and administration of development, test, and operational environments.
- Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures and conduct system administrator training and skill assessment.
- Provide on-demand assistance, within normal duty hours, when questions arise.
- Other duties may include maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software, and allocating mass storage space.
- Interact with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Work under general direction and provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
