Position Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the effective design, configuration, implementation and support of MHCCNA’s hybrid multi-cloud virtual infrastructure. The position is directly accountable for the reliable, efficient and secure operation of MHCCNA’s On-Premise and Cloud Data Center operations in support of critical business requirements. The incumbent manages complex projects and provides technical leadership and direction for the Company.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Engineer is directly responsible and accountable for the design, configuration, implementation, secure operation and support of the technical infrastructure supporting the critical business requirements of MHCCNA.
The incumbent is challenged with designing a flexible, enterprise-quality infrastructure, including highly reliable and redundant capabilities, while working within a SMB budget.
The position requires the ability to research and understand new technologies, work closely with IT staff to establish cloud migration roadmaps and priorities.as well as the ability to learn hands-on administration skills quickly and apply them effectively. As the Subject Matter Expert for all technical and infrastructure requirements, plays a key role in supporting and implementing application projects, and is able to engage with users and other IT staff.
Senior Systems Engineer Responsibilities Include
On Premise Infrastructure : Configuration, monitoring, capacity planning, support and security, including all server and SAN hardware, virtualized servers and desktops).
Azure Cloud: Configure, plan and manage enterprise cloud infrastructure including cloud migrations and new business initiatives within the Azure cloud.
Office 365 and Azure Services: Implement and manage cloud based secure communication/collaboration platforms, O365, Azure, MFA.
Infrastructure: Configuration, monitoring, capacity planning, support and security, including all server and SAN hardware, virtualized servers and desktops (both on-premise and cloud).
Data Center: Configure, monitor and support on-premise and cloud data centers.
Disaster Recovery Design: Implement and support off-site/cloud data replication solution to provide business continuity.
Project Management: Manage complex technical projects to improve security, support and reliability and to address new business needs.
Vendor Management: Manages vendor relationships to ensure appropriate service level for key outsourcing and support services.
Problem Solving and Support: Expert level analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides technical leadership to other IT staff members and works directly with the System Administrator and Technical Support Specialist to provide technical mentoring and guidance.
- Able to take on a leadership role in managing systems-related projects.
Qualifications
Build, configure, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud technologies, Microsoft Windows Server with strong skills in supporting Azure AD, O365, MFA, MDM, GPO, DNS, DHCP, WINS, etc.
Monitoring tools, Solarwinds, vCops, Websense, Mimecast.
Build, configure, deploy and maintain mobile infrastructure such as Intune, AirWatch, iPad, iPhone, Android, O365.
Engineer, implement and manage a core VMware virtual infrastructure containing ESX 7.0 host servers on Cisco UCS enterprise class blade servers, utilizing VMware's VMotion, DRS, and HA technologies to provide high availability.
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure architecture, management and support (VMware View 7.X, Site Recovery Management, Azure Site Recovery).
Hitachi Storage Area Network configuration, management and administration.
Microsoft Office 365 Exchange, Teams and other messaging support and administration.
Initiative and ability to work in a self-directed manner with a working knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, VM Blast, ICMP, UDP, NTP, SMTP, SNMP, RDP.
Experience supporting production websites with Microsoft IIS.
Experience with assessing and implementing data replication products.
Experience with assessing and implementing data storage products.
Advanced knowledge of Hitachi Fiber SAN, replication, VMware Site Recovery Manager.
Manage and support some of mainstream backup technologies utilizing Veeam Backup and Replication, Symantec Enterprise Vault, or similar tools, data archiving and remote storage.
Have a high degree of competency in the following areas: MS Active Directory, administration and troubleshooting of SQL databases, application deployment using automation tools, Microsoft clustering.
Experience working with third party providers and vendors for critical support requirements.
Information security (threat assessment, effective protection and risk mitigation).
Strong analytical skills and able to learn and adapt to new technology.

Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight years of system administration and diversified technical support experience.
Licensing And Certification
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent experience and qualifications.
- VMWare Certification (VCP) or equivalent experience and qualifications.
Tools And Equipment Used
- Personal computer, copier, phone, and other typical office equipment.
Working Hours
- Hours may vary and will require periodic overtime, including occasional evening and weekends, depending on business needs
- On call 24x7 for emergency support
Travel
- Occasional travel for business meetings, seminars or training may be required

The position is exempt, and salary will be between $135,000 and $177,800 with an opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus.
The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience and education.
