TAYS, Inc seeks a Network Engineer in Cary, NC.
Primary Responsibilities
- Configure and set up firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Respond to network intrusions and be familiar with performing forensic investigations.
- Test new or upgraded hardware and software and implement new technologies.
- Create test plans that will allow for a proper evaluation of security issues for new hardware and software.
- Identify security solutions and implement a multi-layered defense to protect the networks.
- Develop standards, policies, and guidelines on using computer-based application systems while minimizing the negative impact of security on employee efficiency.
- Establish security guidelines for implementing new application designs and major modifications before implementation. Install, customize, and maintain security efforts with internal and external auditors.
- Create customized user reports. Design and implement encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research.
- Define information security policies and practices. Define security architecture direction for application developers to ensure their developed applications comply with security policies.
- Understand company technology direction and continually evolve security policies and practices applicable to technology changes. Conduct regular security compliance audit checks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5 years of Progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or a related occupation.
- One year of experience in: 1. Cisco ISRs/ASRs 2. Cisco Catalyst/Nexus Switches 3. Cisco ASAs 4. Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express Version 5. Cisco Unity Express Versions 6. Cisco Wireless LAN Controller 7. Cisco Aironet 11x Access Points 8. Juniper EXs 9. F5 Big-IP Version 11.6.0 10. Palo Alto (PAN) Firewalls 11. Nagios, Solar Winds Orion 12. Cacti, Wireshark 13. VMware vSphere ESXi 14. PBX, Hubs, Repeaters, Patch Panels, and Patch Cord
