About the Team:
SecurityScorecard, Inc. is looking for an organized, self-starting, highly-motivated, and good-humored team player with at least 5+ years of strong corporate generalist experience to join our growing Team Legal. This position will report to our General Counsel and will work closely with all members of Team Legal and other cross-functional departments to help drive the company’s rapid growth. The Associate General Counsel has a significant impact on the business and will work on diverse and complex legal and business issues and strategic initiatives that require excellent judgment, flexibility, creative thinking and a practical and business-friendly approach.
About the Role:
- Support all legal team operations and initiatives, including developing and continuously improving department processes, efficiencies, policies and playbooks.
- Negotiate customer agreements, strategic partnership and alliance agreements, marketing, consulting, and other vendor agreements.
- Support and partner with the HR team on employment and employee benefits issues.
- Support the company in litigation, disputes, investigations and other regulatory matters.
- Provide the company with support on global privacy issues, policies and initiatives.
- Provide corporate governance and entity management support, both domestically and internationally, to help accelerate the company’s continued growth and expansion.
- Assist in managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio.
- Assist in efficiently managing the company’s contractor and external counsel resources.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant in-house and/or law firm experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex corporate and commercial matters autonomously and with superior internal customer support and responsiveness.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport and trust across the business.
- Excellent judgement, attention to detail and commercial approach to balancing risks.
- Able to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced emerging growth company environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently.
- Comfortable handling tasks independently and answering questions that are unfamiliar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior in-house experience.
- Experience in a high-growth emerging technology company environment.

The estimated total compensation range for this position is $200,000 - 245,000 (base plus bonus). Actual compensation for the position is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to affordability, skills, qualifications and experience, and may vary from the range. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible for annual performance-based incentive compensation awards and equity, among other company benefits.
