About
I’ve always been fascinated with technology and how it impacts business and vice versa. My background, skills, and interests took my career in the direction of cybersecurity, technology risk governance, and compliance and to improve myself both personally and professionally, I gained my CISSP, CCISO and CISA certifications. I can see similarities between the attributes of managing business risks and my favorite hobby of fishing. You need to know where to search, utilize the right tools, techniques, and strategies are key in reaching (or landing) a successful end result.
I’m known for my ability to listen to people, look objectively at scenarios from all angles, and calmly handle viewpoints and situations with understanding (and sometimes humor) to guide team’s direction towards a productive solution. I’ve learned that much of my enjoyment in being a manager has come from being a part of someone’s growth, to mentor and help them visualize and develop their skills, and achieve their professional goals.
