Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated investment analyst to join our hedge fund team in New York. Reporting to the Head of Hedge Fund Allocation, you will gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of hedge fund strategies—equity, macro, quant, credit, commodities, and more.

You will be involved throughout the entire manager research process, from sourcing and evaluating to monitoring investments. Additionally, you’ll help design analytical tools that enhance how we allocate capital across external hedge funds, identifying key performance drivers and portfolio-level insights.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and monitor hedge fund investment opportunities

• Represent Andon in professional interactions with hedge fund managers and sell-side contacts

• Develop tools to assess manager performance and portfolio contribution, focusing on risk-adjusted returns

• Use quantitative analysis to generate insights and guide qualitative due diligence

• Contribute to due diligence reports, quarterly updates, and investment committee memos

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Mandarin

• 1–3 years of experience in an analytical or client-facing financial services role

• Degree in a quantitative field from a top-tier institution

• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to clearly articulate insights

• Proficient in Python, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial environment

• Willingness to travel as needed

The base pay for this role will be between $125,000 and $175,000. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Discretionary bonus can be a significant portion of total compensation. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
