Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of operational support services to Federal and State civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire a Business Analyst to support our clients within Macomb Community College (MCC). MCC is located in Warren, MI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support the college’s Application Development Department by developing and modifying SAP Business Intelligence reports and Power BI reports and dashboards. Act as liaison between the end user departments and Programmer/Analysts by identifying data elements, developing requirements, test plans, documentation and coordinating the implementation of business solutions. Exhibit extensive Subject Matter Expertise when utilizing Colleague and SAP BI data elements.

Thorough understanding of Colleague and SAP Business Intelligence data elements including knowledge of Colleague functionality to the extent of understanding how business processes affect timing and accuracy of data for reporting.
Develop or modify Business Intelligence and Power BI reports, data extracts or system interfaces. Thorough understanding of how to validate data presented in these deliverables.
Develop or modify Microsoft Power BI reports.
Support Programmer/Analysts with data element analysis and data used in API’s or batch interfaces.
Work as a liaison between the programmer/analysts and the end user departments to define business solutions and requirements, identify the pertinent data elements, develop process flows, specifications, test plans, and coordinate the implementation of the solution.
Troubleshoot technical or data issues with business intelligence reports or interfaces.
Participate and/or lead technical projects using formal project management methodologies. Projects may include internal staff, end users, and external vendors/consultants.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint.
Create and update tickets in the college’s ticket system (TeamDynamix) adhering to procedures for incidents, service requests, SLA’s and change management.
Maintain currency with technological changes/advancements related to discipline and recommend ways to take advantage of them.
Follow Macomb security policies and procedures.
Effectively communicate to end user departments as well as the IT Department and vendors.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Capability of learning additional software that may be required for the position.

Requirements

Job Requirements and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7years’ experience as a Business Analyst with a strong understanding of data element analysis and business intelligence report generation.
At least 4 years of direct experience with SAP BI data structures and table relationships with Ellucian Colleague.
Proven ability to collaborate with end users, map data elements, define business requirements, and deliver solutions on schedule.
The contractor needs to be available via online chat between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday. Weekly status reports will be supplied by the vendor identifying total hours, hours expended to date, and status of current tasks.

ADA Requirements

Operate a PC and phone in an office environment.
Work in a primarily sedentary position.
Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required.
Any additional office equipment that is required by the position.
