Fast Retailing is currently recruiting a Network Architect to join our New York City based team to engage in designing, implementing, and supporting our network infrastructure across stores, warehouses and corporate locations.

Position Overview:

The Network Architect reports to the Manager of Infrastructure and Network services and plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. This includes both on-premises and cloud-based networks, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams as well as global teams to align the network with our business objectives. Advanced hands-on experience in designing and managing complex networks in large enterprises is required for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Offer technical leadership and guidance to the network team.
Guide key network partners on project execution and support.
Provide project management to moderate and complex network projects.
Participate in strategy and development of the yearly Network Infrastructure roadmap.

Operations:

Lead the architectural design and implementation of network solutions utilizing Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, SD-WAN, LAN, and Wireless LAN technologies.
Manage end to end network construction for new store openings, warehouses and corporate locations.
Manage network design and implementation of multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) as well as interconnectivity with SD-WAN clusters.
Lead incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and preventive measures.
Provide escalation or 3rd level support for all network related issues.
Collaborate with the ISO team to implement and enhance network security best practices, as well as support security events and incidents.
Collaborate with local teams and global teams on network standardization.
Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Document network processes, procedures, configurations, including network drawings.
Respond to critical issues during off-hours and weekends as needed.

Collaboration:

Foster collaboration and communication across culturally diverse teams.
Partner with a global network team on global initiatives.

Stay Updated With Industry Trends:

Lead research, evaluation, and assessment of innovative and emerging technologies, providing informed recommendations.
Partner with vendors and attend conferences to remain current on technologies.

Qualifications:

Required:

8+ years of experience as a Network Architect or similar role.
Proficiency in designing and implementing highly scalable and resilient enterprise network architectures.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, ARP, STP, LLDP/CDP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).
Extensive experience with Cisco Meraki or Juniper Mist.
Experience with AWS network services like Virtual Private Cloud, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53.
Proficiency with SD-WAN, LAN, and Wireless LAN technologies.
Utilization of monitoring tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, Splunk, for effective network monitoring and observability.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex network issues and develop effective solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree
Retail experience
Proficiency in network automation (e.g., scripting, network automation tools).
Experience with network AIOps tools and techniques.
Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
Experience with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence,Slack etc.
Industry certifications, such as CCNA,CCNP,CCIE, JNCIP.

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000*

*The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
