Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and monitor backup solutions to ensure the consistent and reliable backup of critical data.
Perform regular backups of systems, databases, and applications according to established schedules.
Evaluate and recommend backup solutions that align with industry best practices and meet the specific needs of the organization.
Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to minimize data loss in the event of system failures or disasters.
Conduct regular tests and audits of backup systems to verify data integrity and availability.
Work closely with IT teams to troubleshoot backup-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define backup requirements and implement appropriate strategies to meet business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Backup Administrator or a similar role in a corporate environment.
Strong knowledge of backup and recovery concepts, methodologies, and tools.
Experience with backup software such as Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, or similar platforms.
Solid understanding of storage technologies, data deduplication, and encryption techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
